Davis County Hospital CEO to resign: 3 notes

Kirby Johnson, CEO of Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa, is departing for another job April 1, according to a KTVO report.

Here are three notes:

1. Mr. Johnson is leaving for a job at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.

2. Davis County Hospital is a critical access hospital, affiliated with West Des Moines, Iowa-based Mercy Health Network.

3. Mr. Johnson is departing as Iowa’s healthcare delivery system is undergoing a major change. The state switched over to a privatized system in 2016, resulting in one of the three managed care organizations dropping out, according to the report.
