Philip Koovakada is NMC Health Network’s permanent CEO: 4 notes

Nacogdoches (Texas) Medical Center Health Network appointed Philip Koovakada, MSN, permanent CEO, according to a KTRE ABC 9 report.

Here are four notes:

1. Mr. Koovakada served as interim CEO since January.

2. He was previously NMC Health Network’s COO.

3. A member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, he previously served in leadership positions at numerous healthcare organizations, including Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs, Calif.

4. Mr. Koovakada succeeds Jeff Patterson, who left to serve as leader of Abrazo Arrowhead Campus in Glendale, Ariz., and Abrazo Arizona Heart Hospital in Phoenix.
