12 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Permian Regional Medical Center in Andrews, Texas, named Donny Booth interim CEO.

2. Marty Boryszak was promoted from his role as president and CEO of Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y., to senior vice president of acute care for Catholic Health, the parent health system for Sisters Hospital.

3. H.D. Cannington, CEO of Weems Memorial Hospital in Apalachicola, Fla., plans to resign.

4. UnityPoint Health-Trinity appointed Robert Erickson president and CEO, effective Sept. 23.

5. Richard J. Gannotta, CEO of University of California, Irvine Health System, is resigning Sept. 30 to pursue an opportunity at medical technology company Masimo.

6. Alan King is coming out of retirement to once again lead Covenant Health Plainview (Texas) as CEO.

7. Crawford County Memorial Hospital in Denison, Iowa, has tapped Erin Muck, RN, to serve as CEO.

8. Cleveland-based Sisters of Charity Health System appointed Janice Murphy, RN, president and CEO of St. Vincent Charity Medical Center, also in Cleveland, effective immediately.

9. Gary Tucker, president and CEO of Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, N.Y., is retiring in October.

10. C.J. Urlaub, president and CEO of Mercy Hospital of Buffalo (N.Y.), is departing for a new role with Buffalo, N.Y.-based Catholic Health.

11. Traverse City, Mich.-based Munson Healthcare has tapped Matt Wille to serve as president and CEO of Munson Medical Center.

12. Telluride (Colo.) Medical Center appointed Karen Winkelmann CEO, effective Aug. 12.
