12 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

1. Valparaiso, Ind.-based Porter Health Care System CEO Steve Lunn is resigning to take on a new job opportunity, effective Nov. 10.

2. Miami, Fla.-based Jackson Health System appointed Roy L. Hawkins Jr., senior vice president and CEO of Jackson North Medical Center in North Miami Beach, Fla.

3. Dallas-based Tenet Healthcare appointed Tara McCoy CEO of Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

4. Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa, Iowa, named Chris Jepsen, MSN, interim CEO.

5. San Francisco-based Dignity Health selected Mark Slyter to serve as president and CEO of the East Valley market, within Dignity Health Arizona.

6. Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla., appointed James F. O'Loughlin CEO, effective Oct. 9.

7. Victoria, Texas-based DeTar Healthcare System CEO William R. Blanchard will retire at the end of 2017.

8. Memorial Hospital of Sweetwater County in Rock Springs, Wyo., appointed Irene Richardson permanent CEO, effective immediately.

9. Chinese Hospital in San Francisco named Jian Zhang, DNP, CEO and Deena Louie CEO of the Chinese Community Health Plan.

10. Nancy Schmid, CEO of Healdsburg (Calif.) District Hospital and its operator North Sonoma County Health Care District, is resigning.

11. Cincinnati-based Mercy Health appointed Bob Baxter permanent president and CEO of Mercy Health-Toledo (Ohio), effective Oct. 4.
