Healdsburg District Hospital CEO steps down: 4 notes

Nancy Schmid, CEO of Healdsburg (Calif.) District Hospital and its operator North Sonoma County Health Care District, is resigning, according to a North Bay Business Journal report.

Here are four notes:

1. Ms. Schmid served in the CEO role for four years. Her contract expires at the end of the year, and Ms. Schmid and the North Sonoma County Health Care District board decided not to renew it.

2. During her tenure, the organization experienced a successful financial turnaround.

3. Joseph Harrington will take over as interim CEO. He most recently served as president and CEO of Lodi (Calif.) Memorial Hospital.

4. Mr. Harrington is expected to serve as interim CEO until the end of 2018.
