10 latest hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Boise, Idaho-based Saint Alphonsus Health System selected Odette Bolano to serve as president and CEO.

2. Michael Fisher, president and CEO of Cincinnati Children's, is returning to the role next month after taking a leave of absence to undergo cancer treatment.

3. Rady Children's Hospital-San Diego selected Patricio A. Frias, MD, to serve as president and CEO.

4. Massena (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital hired Charles Gijanto to serve as interim CEO, its second interim leader since the abrupt departure of former chief executive Robert Wolleben in June.

5. Iowa City-based University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics named Suresh Gunasekaran CEO, effective Nov. 15.

6. Wyoming, Mich.-based Metro Health-University of Michigan Health selected Peter Hahn, MD, to serve as its president and CEO, effective Oct. 1.

7. Birmingham, Ala.-based Brookwood Baptist Health named Daniel Listi CEO of Shelby Baptist Medical Center in Alabaster, Ala., effective Aug. 20.

8. Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, W.Va., selected Robert W. Milvet to serve as CEO.

9. York, Pa.-based WellSpan Health President and CEO Kevin H. Mosser, MD, plans to retire at the end of 2018.

10. Medford, Mass.-based MelroseWakefield Healthcare appointed Susan Sandberg, RN, as its new CEO, effective Aug. 20.
