Dr. Mosser became president and CEO of the six-hospital system in 2013, prior to which, he was executive vice president and COO. He has been affiliated with WellSpan for 30-plus years. He is a family physician and has served on the executive committee of the Hospital and Health System Association of Pennsylvania’s Small Hospital Council.
Dr. Mosser will continue in the role until WellSpan’s upcoming merger with Summit Health in Chambersburg, Pa., is complete, which is expected in the fall, and until his successor has transitioned into the role.
The health system has selected executive search firm Witt/Kieffer to assist with finding Dr. Mosser’s replacement. The firm is on its second round of interviews with candidates, according to the report.
