Movers and shakers: 12 latest leadership changes affecting health IT

Becker's Hospital Review reported the following health IT executive moves affecting hospitals, companies and federal agencies during the past month:

1. GV, formerly known as Google Ventures, hired biotechnology industry veteran David Schenkein to co-lead the company's life sciences investments.

2. The former chief technology officer of startup PokitDok, Ted Tanner now the chief technology officer and chief architect of IBM Watson Health.

3. Apple hired former Microsoft executive Sam Jadallah to lead its smart home business.

4. Paige.AI has named Leo Grady, PhD, its CEO and added him to its board of directors.

5. MDLive, provider of a comprehensive telehealth platform, selected Dan Monahan to serve as CFO and COO.

6. MedeAnalytics, a healthcare analytics solutions provider, named Cindi Carter chief security officer.

7. CMS named Mark Roche, MD, a physician informaticist and expert in ONC subject matter, as the agency's first chief health informatics officer.

8. Quest Diagnostics combined its chief information and digital officers into one role and named Gabrielle Wolfson, former Xerox Corp. CIO, to the role in February.

9. Norwalk, Ohio-based Fisher-Titus Health system hired Linda A. Stevenson to serve as CIO.

10. Cambridge (Mass.) Health Alliance selected Brian Herrick, MD, to serve as CIO.

11. Macon, Ga.-based Navicent Health named Omer Awan chief information and digital officer.

12. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston selected Giulio Draetta, MD, PhD, to serve as chief scientific officer, a new role.
