Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Three notes:
1. Within its health IT business, Carestream provides imaging IT solutions to multisite hospitals, radiology services providers, imaging centers and specialty clinics.
2. Philips will expand its healthcare IT business to feature the new imaging platform, which includes diagnostics, multimedia reporting and as clinical, operational and business analytics.
3. Carestream will retain its medical imaging systems, as well as its dental and nondestructive testing businesses.
