7 recent health system CIO, IT exec moves

The following hospital and health system IT executive moves have been reported since July 7.

  1. Gergory Smith was named IT director of Mooresville, N.C.-based Lake Norman Medical Center.
  2. Craig Richardville was named chief digital and information officer and senior vice president of Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Healthcare.
  3. Cathy French, senior vice president and CIO of Cincinnati-based TriHealth announced that she would retire from her position due to health reasons.
  4. Eric Eskioglu, MD, was named chief physician innovation officer for Novant Health Enterprises, the innovation business division of the health system.
     
  5. Derek Morkel was named CIO of Grand Blanc, Mich.-based McLaren Health Care.
     
  6. Sophy Lu was named CIO of Northwell Health.
  7. Sangeeta Bardhan Cook, PhD, was named senior vice president of commercialization strategy and business development for Philadelphia-based Temple University Health System, and chief innovation officer of its Fox Chase Cancer Center.
