8 hospitals, health systems opting for Meditech EHRs in 2022

Below are eight hospitals and health systems that launched a new Meditech EHR system, announced plans to do so, or renewed a contract in 2022. 

  1. Alexander City, Ala.-based Russell Medical Center chose Meditech's software-as-a-service option for its EHR. The new EHR will replace the facility's legacy Meditech Magic system.

  2. Floyd County Medical Center in Iowa went live with the Meditech Expanse EHR system on Nov. 1.

  3. Warren (Pa.) General Hospital has selected Meditech Expanse to replace its legacy Meditech EHR system and the various platforms used at outpatient clinics.

  4. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare chose Meditech as its preferred EHR provider. Under the partnership, HCA will complete a large-scale deployment of Meditech's Expanse platform.
     
  5. Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Neb., completed a Meditech mock live drill as it transitions to the EHR vendor. The 25-bed critical access facility had previously used Centriq for its EHR.

  6. Houlton (Maine) Regional Hospital is replacing its current system with a Meditech Expanse EHR system.

  7. Wallingford, Conn.-based Gaylord Specialty Healthcare is installing a Meditech EHR system, which will cost the health system approximately $7.6 million.

  8. Emporia, Kan.-based Newman Regional Health extended its Meditech EHR system to a nearby critical access hospital, Burlington, Kan.-based Coffey Health System.
