9 biggest moves from Meditech in 2022

From plans to integrate Google's Care Studio into its EHR to inking a partnership with HCA Healthcare, here are nine of Meditech's biggest moves in 2022:

  1. Meditech's Expanse Genomics went live at Frederick (Md.) Health and Clinton, Mo.-based Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare.

  2. Meditech integrated its platform with digital care company SeamlessMD for its Canadian customers. The collaboration will allow providers to monitor patients during and after hospitalization. Sault Area Hospital in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, is the first hospital to use the integrated technology.

  3. Meditech and Google Health are piloting their clinical search tool at Tuscaloosa, Ala.-based DCH Health System and Mauston, Wis.-based Mile Bluff Medical Center. The tool embeds Google Health's search and summarization capabilities to create a longitudinal view of a patient's health history directly within the clinical workflow of Meditech's EHR system.

  4. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare chose Meditech as its preferred EHR provider. Under the partnership, HCA will complete a large-scale deployment of Meditech's Expanse platform.

  5. Meditech added nine health systems to its cloud-based platform in Q3, with five out of the nine healthcare organizations signing on as new customers.

  6. Meditech added a population health management tool to its population health portfolio. The new tool, Expanse Population Insight, is powered by the Innovaccer data platform and aggregates data from claims and EHRs to provide clinicians with actionable data insights.
  7. Meditech expanded its Greenfield workspace to include two new collaborative environments that help third-party developers and customers test innovations within their EHRs. The first expansion is Greenfield Alliance. Organizations can apply to be a part of the alliance and work with Meditech to develop new tools to enhance the company's EHR system. The second expansion is Greenfield Workspace where app developers can use a Meditech EHR system to test and enhance their own softwares and products.

  8. Meditech extended its mobile Expanse Ambulatory EHR beyond the integrated health system setting to meet the needs of independent and physician-owned practices.

  9. Meditech partnered with New York City-based MedPower, a cloud-hosted e-learning solution, to bring interactive online training courses to healthcare organizations for its Expanse EHR.
