Hospital rebrands: 5 recent name changes

Below are five hospitals and health systems that have announced name changes or other rebranding efforts since April 13. 

  1. Livonia, Mich.-based Trinity Health will rebrand eight hospitals and hundreds of care sites in Michigan. The hospitals will adopt the Trinity Health name and logo. The process will initially begin with three hospitals while the rest of the rebrand will be implemented in phases throughout 2022 and 2023.

  2. Vidant Health and East Carolina University, both based in Greenville, N.C., unveiled a new logo for the ECU Health system as well as name changes to 10 hospitals across North Carolina.

  3. Arlington-based Virginia Hospital Center unveiled a new name and logo. The health system is now named VCH Health. Facilitates are expected to be completely rebranded by the end of 2022.
      
  4. Madison, Wis.-based UW Health at The American Center was renamed to UW Health East Madison Hospital.

  5. Pasadena, Calif.-based Huntington Hospital unveiled a new logo and a new name May 3 to reflect its affiliation with Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai. The hospital, its physician group and its outpatient programs and locations will now be called Huntington Health.
