Baton Rouge, La.-based FMOL Health has launched a systemwide brand campaign highlighting its heart and vascular care services through patient stories across Louisiana and Mississippi.

The campaign, called “Hometown Heroes,” is an extension of the health system’s “This is How We Healthcare” brand platform, according to a Nov. 5 news release. It focuses on cardiovascular services across four markets: Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Monroe, La., and Jackson, Miss.

The campaign features patients who have experienced cardiac arrest, pulmonary embolisms, major blockages and other cardiovascular conditions, along with the physicians, nurses and care teams involved in their treatment.

Among the patients featured is a man who experienced a pulmonary embolism and collapsed while recovering in a hospital. Another patient, Katie, faced the possibility of open-heart surgery after a previously undetected condition was diagnosed and later returned to running following treatment.

“Behind every heart diagnosis is a person, a family and a care team walking together toward healing,” E.J. Kuiper, president and CEO of FMOL Health, said in the release. “This campaign gives us the opportunity to celebrate the patients who trusted us with their cardiovascular care and the extraordinary teams who helped them return to the people, places and purposes they love.”

The campaign also highlights Janet Durden, a St. Francis Foundation board member who received cardiovascular care from Greg Sampognaro, MD, and Sarah Ahmad, MD.

“I was very confident in their care,” Ms. Durden said in the release.

FMOL Health, which operates nine main campus hospitals across Louisiana and Mississippi, rebranded from Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady Health System in November 2025. The rebrand introduced the “This is How We Healthcare” platform to unify the system’s identity across its markets.
