7 recent hospital, health system CNO and CMO moves

The following seven hospital and health system CNO and CMO moves occurred or were announced in the last month, starting with the most recent.

1. UP Health System-Marquette (Mich.) appointed Wael Khouli, MD, a primary care physician, as CMO.

2. Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health named Becky Hardie, BSN, RN, as CNO of its new hospital in Waco, Texas.

3. Sherry Gehring, MSN, RN, announced plans to retire from her role as CNO of Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield, Ind.

4. The National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Md., is on the hunt for three new executives — a CEO, COO and CMO.

5. Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Memorial Health System promoted Scott Nygaard, MD, from CMO of physician services and network development to CMO.

6. Jessica Rivas, RN, was named vice president and CNO of Memorial Hermann Cypress (Texas), a campus that currently has a convenient care center and a hospital scheduled to open in 2017.

7. Chicago Family Health Center welcomed James Valek, MD, as CMO.
