Anne Arundel Medical Center names new COO: 4 things to know

Anne Arundel Medical Center in Annapolis, Md., has named Maulik Joshi as executive vice president of integrated care delivery and COO.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Maulik.

1. He joins AAMC from the American Hospital Association in Chicago, where he was associate executive vice president and president of the Health Research & Educational Trust.

2. He is a published author on the topic of healthcare transformation.

3. Mr. Maulik has a doctorate degree in public health and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.

4. He previously served on the AAMC board, the board Quality and Patient Safety Committee for Mercy Health System, based in Janesville, Wis., the Health Outcomes Committee for Downers Grove, Ill.-based Advocate Health Care, and was the treasurer of the Center for Advancing Health board.
