In his new role, Dr. Nygaard oversees clinical effectiveness and the integration of physician leadership across the health system.
“I’m excited to have the opportunity to help lead Lee Memorial Health System into the future, developing a clinical strategy, with the support of our physicians, which will improve safety and transform the way care is delivered,” Dr. Nygaard said.
Dr. Nygaard is a Minnesota native, earning his medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis and an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, also in Minneapolis.
