24 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Randall K. Segler, CEO of Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton, Okla., retired.

2. Ronald Wehtje was appointed CFO of Adventist Health's Southern California Region.

3. IU Health Goshen (Ind.) appointed Robert Myers COO.

4. EASTAR Health System in Muskogee, Okla., appointed Anthony R. "Tony" Capuano COO.

5. David Whitaker, president and CEO of Norman (Okla.) Regional Health System, is leaving his post March 26.

6. Schenectady, N.Y.-based Ellis Medicine named Paul A. Milton president and CEO.

7. HealthSouth named Kay Peck CEO of the future HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Modesto (Calif.).

8. USMD Holdings, a physician-led integrated healthcare system based in Irving, Texas, appointed Michael W. Bukosky COO.

9. Joel T. Allison, president and CEO of Dallas-based Baylor Scott & White Health, will leave his post next year to take on an advisory role.

10. The new chief of medicine at the Cincinnati Veterans Affairs Medical Center is Ralph Panos, MD. Dr. Panos is replacing Barbara Temeck, MD, who was removed from the position Feb. 25.

11. Darcy J. Davis was named CEO of the Health Care District of Palm Beach County, a safety-net healthcare system in Florida.

12. Hickory, N.C.-based Frye Regional Medical Center, a Duke LifePoint Healthcare facility, named Garfield "Gar" Atchison CEO.

13. Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Mich., hired Mac McClurkan as its new CIO.

14. After serving as interim CNO for six months, Tracy Galvin, MSN, RN, will become the permanent CNO at Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

15. Cooperstown, N.Y.-based Bassett Healthcare Network named Andrew Manzer executive vice president and COO.

16. Rita Croom was appointed senior vice president and chief experience officer of Franklin, Tenn.-based Capella Healthcare.

17. The MetroHealth System, based in Cleveland, promoted Kate Brown to president of The MetroHealth Foundation and chief development officer of The MetroHealth System.

18. Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, Mass., named Ava Jo Collins COO, effective March 7.

19. Robert G. David was named president of St. John Medical Center in Westlake, Ohio.

20. Sister Romaine Niemeyer, chief administrative officer of Holy Spirit Health System, an affiliate of Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System based in Camp Hill, Pa., will retire June 30.

21. Clay Taylor is resigning from his post as CEO of Covenant Health Plainview (Texas).

22. Matthew Cook was named president of Indianapolis-based Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health.

23. Rome (N.Y.) Memorial Hospital named David W. Lundquist as its next president and CEO.

24. Gary Shorb, CEO of Memphis, Tenn.-based Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare, will retire at the end of 2016.
