Here are three things to know about Mr. Shorb.
1. He has served as CEO since 2001 and will continue to be CEO until Dec. 31.
2. He will be succeeded by Michael Ugwueke, president and COO of Methodist Le Bonheur.
3. Mr. Shorb will serve as a senior advisor to Mr. Ugwueke through April 2017.
