EASTAR Health System names COO: 3 things to know

EASTAR Health System in Muskogee, Okla., has appointed Anthony R. “Tony” Capuano COO, effective March 1, according to a news release.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Capuano.

1. He has more than two decades of executive leadership experience in the military as well as at various hospitals and health systems.

2. Most recently, he served as system director of cardiovascular services and system director of neuroscience services at Southern Illinois Healthcare, a nonprofit system with three acute care hospitals in Carbondale. 

3. He replaces Jim Davidson, who was promoted to CEO of Saint Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Russellville, Ark.
