Holy Spirit Health System chief administrative officer to retire

Sister Romaine Niemeyer, the chief administrative officer of Holy Spirit Health System, a Geisinger affliate based in Camp Hill, Pa., announced she will retire June 30.

Prior to serving as the CAO of Holy Spirit, Sister Niemeyer served as president and CEO of Holy Spirit Health System for 25 years. Before that, she held senior administrative positions for 20 years operating under the coordination of Sister Ursula Frei, Holy Spirit Hospital's first administrator.

Sister Romaine has received a litany of awards for her work at Holy Spirit and in the greater Pennsylvania region, including The Cross Pro Ecclesia et Pontifice, an honor bequeathed by Pope Benedict XVI.

In her retirement, Sister Romaine will continue her residence at the Holy Spirit Hospital Convent and support the mission of the organization through her personal works in the community.
