19 latest hospital, health system CNO and CMO moves

The following 19 hospital and health system CNO and CMO moves occurred or were announced in the last four weeks, starting with the most recent.

 

1. York (Neb.) General Hospital named Jenny Obermier, BSN, MSN, to fill the roles of senior vice president, COO and CNO.

2. Tracy Aspel, BSN, who was serving as director of nursing practice and interim CNO of Northern Inyo Healthcare District in Bishop, Calif., became permanent CNO.

3. Mark McGee, MD, was named as CMO of The Brattleboro (Vt.) Retreat psychiatric hospital and addiction treatment center.

4. Evangelical Community Hospital in Lewisburg, Pa., appointed Tamara F. Persing, BSN, RN, as CNO.

5. Sam Bagchi, MD, was named senior vice president, CMO and chief medical information officer of Irving, Texas-based Christus Health, effective April 24.

6. Effective May 1, Tom Hollandsworth, MD, will become CMO of Eastern Shore Rural Health in Onancock, Va.

7. The University of Vermont Health Network's Berlin-based Vermont Medical Center named Matthew Choate, BSN, RN, as permanent CNO after he served as interim CNO for about four months.

8. Sandra Mylavarapu, MD, became CMO of Dignity Health Woodland (Calif.) Memorial Hospital.

9. Dorothy Bybee, BSN, will become vice president of patient care services and CNO of Columbus (Neb.) Community Hospital, effective April 17.

10. TriStar StoneCoast Medical Center in Smyrna, Tenn., named Amy Cason, MSN, BSN, as CNO.

11. Ruth Guidry was named CNO of Lafayette (La.) Surgical Specialty Hospital.

12. L+M Healthcare in New London, Conn., chose Oliver Mayorga, MD, to be CMO.

13. Tunkhannock, Pa.-based Tyler Memorial Hospital named Maribeth Angeli, BSN, as CNO.

14. Elizabeth Kearney, BSN, who had been serving as interim CNO of Mountain Vista Medical Center in Mesa, Ariz., since November 2016, was named permanent CNO in February.

15. Ann Kjosa, BSN, was named CNO of Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

16. University Medical Center of El Paso in Texas chose Cindy Ann Stout, DNP, to serve as CNO.

17. Brandy Hershberger, DNP, RN, was named CNO of Palms of Pasadena Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla.

18. Lawrence Brilliant, MD, was appointed vice president and CMO of Langhorne, Pa.-based St. Mary Medical Center.

19. Duke LifePoint Healthcare in Brentwood, Tenn., named Harry R. Phillips III, MD, as CMO.
