Ms. Stout most recently served as CNO at Del Sol Medical Center in El Paso. She served in the role for 10 years and helped the hospital earn its first American Nurses Credentialing Center Pathway to Excellence designation and re-designation.
Ms. Stout holds a doctorate of nursing practice from Durham, N.C.-based Duke University.
“Cindy has the nursing and patient safety leadership experience that will greatly enhance our team but most importantly, I am confident she will improve our patient care experience,” said Jacob Cintron, UMC’s president and CEO in a statement.
