Duke LifePoint Healthcare appoints Dr. Harry Phillips CMO: 5 notes

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Duke LifePoint Healthcare selected Harry R. Phillips, III, MD, to serve as CMO.

1. Dr. Phillips is expanding his current roles to add on CMO duties.

2. His current roles include serving as a professor of medicine at Durham, N.C.-based Duke University School of Medicine as well as an associate director of the Duke Heart Center and CMO of the Duke Network Services for Duke University Health System.

3. Dr. Phillips has been a physician leader for Duke LifePoint since 2011.

4. In his new role, he will provide clinical leadership for Duke LifePoint entities and foster collaboration between hospital CMOs and other physician leaders.

5. An interventional cardiologist, Dr. Phillips has authored or coauthored more than 100 peer-reviewed articles.
