Hawaii Health Systems Corp. selects Dr. Thomas Royer as Kauai Region’s interim CMO

Honolulu-based Hawaii Health Systems Corp., named Thomas C. Royer, MD, interim CMO of its Kauai Region.

Dr. Royer is currently partner and CEO of Royer-Maddox-Herron Advisors, an executive consultancy firm. He was the founding CEO and president of Irving, Texas-based Christus Health, serving as its leader from 1999 to 2011. He was then interim CEO of Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas. He is also a U.S. Navy veteran.

He is a member of the Texas Hospital Association’s board of trustees and a board member and chair of the standards council for the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education.

At Hawaii Health Systems Corp., Dr. Royer provide 80 hours of support per month supervising the employed physicians of the health system’s Kauai Region.
