The donor may contribute another $20 million next spring if Danbury Hospital has met its $50 million fundraising goal by the time of the addition’s ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Western Connecticut Health Network, Danbury Hospital’s care network, is facing more than $30 million in state budget cuts over the next two years and has laid off 65 people and eliminated 51 unfilled positions as a result.
