July 15-Dec. 11
1. Registered nurses at St. Joseph Health in Bryan/College Station, Texas, part of Chicago-based CommonSpirit Health, voted to unionize, representing about 750 employees.
2. About 400 registered nurses at HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital in Fort Walton Beach have joined National Nurses Organizing Committee/National Nurses United.
3. Nurses at UPMC Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh voted to unionize, with 840 of the hospital’s nurses joining SEIU Healthcare Pennsylvania.
4. More than 200 resource pool nurses employed at Legacy Health hospitals in Oregon and Washington voted to join the Oregon Nurses Association.
May 27-July 2
1. Employees at six Sharp HealthCare medical offices in the San Diego area voted to unionize with SEIU-United Healthcare Workers West, covering about 40 frontline workers.
2. Caregivers at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Ore., voted to join SEIU Local 49. The vote covers about 1,100 employees, including certified nursing assistants, lab assistants, pharmacy technicians, environmental service workers and patient access representatives.
3. Workers at Holy Family Hospital facilities in Methuen and Haverhill, Mass., voted to unionize. It includes more than 70 employees, including respiratory therapists and social workers.
4. Primary care physicians at Boston-based Mass General Brigham’s Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women’s hospitals voted to join Doctors Council of the SEIU.
5. Physicians at MultiCare Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital in Tacoma, Wash., voted to unionize, with 97 employees joining Northwest Medicine United.

1. Physicians and other clinical faculty members at West Orange. N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, N.J., voted 66-21 to unionize.
2. Employees at Sharp Coronado (Calif.) Hospital, including licensed vocational nurses, certified nursing assistants and surgical techs, voted to join Service Employees International Union-United Healthcare Workers West.
3. Employees at Providence’s Healdsburg Hospital in California voted to join the National Union of Healthcare Workers.
March 14-April 3
1. Workers at Providence’s Healdsburg Hospital in California voted to join the National Union of Healthcare Workers, covering nearly 200 workers including registered nurses and nursing assistants.
2. A supermajority of 1,000 resident physicians and fellows at the University of Minnesota voted to unionize with the Committee of Interns and Residents, a local of the Service Employees International Union.
3. Caregivers at Crystal Run Healthcare’s 11 primary care facilities in New York’s Hudson Valley, which is part of Optum Care, voted to join 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East.
4. Nurses at Cleveland-based Metro Behavioral Health voted to join the Ohio Nurses Association and AFT.
5. A supermajority of more than 200 resident physicians at Minneapolis-based Hennepin Healthcare filed for recognition with CIR.
Jan. 8-Feb. 19
1. About 150 registered nurses at Northwestern Medical Center in St. Albans, Vt., voted to unionize.
2. More than 200 support, office, tech and maintenance workers at Brattleboro (Vt.) Memorial Hospital voted to unionize, Vermont Public reported Feb. 18.
3. Nurses at Legacy Emanuel, Randall Children’s Hospital and Good Samaritan Hospital, part of Portland, Ore.-based Legacy Health, voted to join the Oregon Nurses Association.
4. Registered nurses at Ascension St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore voted to retain the National Nurses Organizing Committee as their labor representative.
5. Resident physicians, interns and fellows at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston voted to join the Committee of Interns and Residents.
6. Technicians and technologists at MultiCare Yakima (Wash.) Memorial Hospital voted to join Teamsters Local 760.
7. Resident and fellow physicians at Newark, Del.-based ChristianaCare voted to unionize, making them the state’s first resident and fellow physician union.
8. Nearly 230 resident and fellow physicians at Care New England Health System’s Kent Hospital, Women & Infants Hospital and Butler Hospital in Rhode Island voted to unionize.
9. Resident physicians and fellows at Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health’s Thomas Jefferson University Hospital voted to join the Committee of Interns and Residents.
10. Resident physicians and fellows at Philadelphia-based Temple University Hospital voted to join the Committee of Interns and Residents.
11. Resident physicians and fellows at Einstein Healthcare Network, part of Philadelphia-based Jefferson Health, voted to unionize, joining the Committee of Interns and Residents.
12. Resident physicians and fellows at Providence-based Rhode Island Hospital, part of Brown University Health, voted to unionize, marking the first physician union in the state.
