Staci Lucius to helm Mercy Health Physicians: 5 things to know

Cincinnati-based Mercy Health named Staci Lucius president of Mercy Health Physicians.

Here are five things to know about Ms. Lucius.

1. She began her role last month, taking over for Mercy Health Chief Clinical Officer Anton Decker, MD.

2. In her role, Ms. Lucius will collaborate with Mercy Health’s regional CEOs “to identify and implement best practice excellence across the system,” Mercy Health said in a news release.

3. Prior to joining Mercy Health, she was COO of the OhioHealth Physician Group, a medical group comprising 725+ physicians and 325+ advance practice providers.

4. Ms. Lucius also previously was assistant vice president of operations for the Health Management Associates’ Eastern Group, and led HMA’s Health Management Physician Network on an interim basis, the release states.

5. Ms. Lucius earned a bachelor’s degree in rehabilitation science and psychology from Arkansas Tech University in Russellville and a master’s degree in healthcare administration from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater.
