Michael Stevenson named information security officer at Sparks: 4 things to know

Fort Smith, Ark.-based Sparks Health System has named Michael Stevenson information security officer.

Here are four things to know about Mr. Stevenson.

1. He joined Sparks as a teenager and has worked in various positions within the hospital for the last eight years.

2. Most recently, he worked in the information systems department as an integration engineer.

3. In his newest role, Mr. Stevenson will oversee electronic information policies and ensure information assets and technologies are adequately protected at Sparks Regional Medical Center in Fort Smith, Sparks Medical Center – Van Buren (Ark.) and Sparks Clinic.

4. He earned a bachelor’s degree in information technologies from the University of Arkansas Fort Smith.
