Hancock County Health System names Jeff Stampohar CEO: 3 things to know

Hancock County Health System in Britt, Iowa, has named Jeff Stampohar administrator and CEO, effective Jan. 11, according to a Globe Gazette report.

Here are three things to know about Mr. Stampohar.

1. He has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare administration.

2. He previously was CEO of Deer River (Minn.) Healthcare Center, now known as Essentia Health. In that role, he managed multiple facilities, including a 20-bed critical access hospital, a Level IV trauma center, two medical clinics, a 32-bed long-term care facility and 30 apartments with assisted living services, according to the report.

3. In his new role with HCHS, Mr. Stampohar will lead a county-owned health system that includes the 25-bed Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt, the HCHS Community Health outpatient rehabilitation clinic in Garner, Iowa, and four Iowa primary care clinics located in Britt, Garner, Kanawha and Wesley.
