1. He has served in progressive leadership positions within the VA in major medical centers and the private sector, according to the report. He also was a U.S. Army Medical Service Corps officer for more than 20 years.
2. In his new role, Mr. Dancy will oversee healthcare delivery at a complexity level 3 facility serving veterans within 23 of Louisiana’s 64 parishes, according to the report.
3. Mr. Dancy earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Morehouse College in Atlanta, and a master’s degree in business administration from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio. He also earned a master’s degree in health administration from Baylor University in Waco, Texas.
4. Mr. Dancy is a board-certified healthcare executive with the American College of Healthcare Executives, was a surveyor with the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care and was a preceptor with the Baylor University Graduate Program in Health Administration.
