Marsha Rappley, MD. Vice President for Health Sciences at Virginia Commonwealth University and CEO of VCU Health System (Richmond, Va.). Before accepting her current positions at the health system in 2015, Dr. Rappley served as dean of MichiganStateUniversity’s College of Human Medicine in East Lansing for roughly 10 years. In that time, NIH and other federal research funding doubled for the medical school. Dr. Rappley is the 2016-17 chair of the 17-member board of directors for the Association of American Medical Colleges. She earned her nursing degree from the University of Michigan and her medical degree from MichiganStateUniversity.
