Lee Health names new VP for quality, safety: 3 points

Fort Myers, Fla.-based Lee Health appointed K. Alex Daneshmand, DO, systemwide vice president for quality and safety, according to a Business Observer report.

1. Most recently, Dr. Daneshmand served as acute care officer for Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida in Fort Myers.

2. He has worked at Golisano Children’s since 2007, initially providing care in the pediatric intensive care unit.

3. Lee Health includes six hospitals and 12,500-plus employees as well as 1,480-plus physicians on its medical staff.
