Springfield, Mass.-based Baystate Health tapped Michael R. Knapik to serve as vice president of government and community relations, effective Feb. 19.
Here are three points:
1. Mr. Knapik most recently worked in the Office of Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker as director of the Governor's Western Massachusetts Regional Office.
2. He previously served as executive director-advancement, alumni and university relations at Westfield (Mass.) State University.
3. He also served as a senator for 10 terms in the Massachusetts State Senate and for two terms as state representative in the Massachusetts House of Representatives.
