Here are four things to know.
1. Ms. Tupper was first recruited to Kaweah Delta in April 2018 to serve as Director of Revenue Cycle Operations.
2. In September 2017, Ms. Tupper was appointed to interim CFO after the former CFO, Gary Herbst, assumed the CEO post at the healthcare district.
“After having had the opportunity to work with and observe Malinda in the interim CFO position, I am convinced that Malinda will do an outstanding job serving Kaweah Delta as its new CFO. She is particularly strong in financial management of operations, service line analysis, decision support and revenue cycle operations,” Mr. Herbst said, according to The Recorder.
3. Ms. Tupper holds a degree in accounting and finance from College Station-based Texas A&M University.
4. Prior to her leadership roles at Kaweah Delta Health Care District, Ms. Tupper served as chief revenue officer at Edinburg, Texas-based Doctors Hospital at Renaissance, a acute care hospital system licensed for 530 beds.
