Ms. Shugart has served as interim CEO of the hospital, part of Brentwood, Tenn.-based LifePoint Health, since April. She was previously COO of Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center in Hartsville, S.C., and was interim CEO of Saline Health System in Benton, Ark., both of which are also LifePoint facilities.
Ms. Shugart is a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives and a past president of the South Carolina Chapter of the ACHE.
She succeeds Terry Gunn, who is now market CEO of Providence Health in Columbia, S.C., and KershawHealth.
