Katherine Bunting, PhD, RN. President and CEO of Fairfield (Ill.) Memorial Hospital. Prior to joining Fairfield Memorial Hospital in 1998, Dr. Bunting spent nearly two decades at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Ill. She was previously president of the Illinois Hospital Association Region 5 as well as the IHA Steering Committee. Under Dr. Bunting’s administration, the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health and iVantage Health Analytics recognized Fairfield for overall excellence in patient outcomes. The hospital is in southeastern Illinois, about 150 miles south of Springfield.
