Mr. Nagowski temporarily left the Fayetteville, N.C.-based health system in October due to an unspecified health issue, according to The Fayetteville Observer. He is 54 years old and has led the system since 2008.
“Both Sandra and Dan will continue to provide capable direction for the health system until Mike’s return,” Sandra Carr Johnson, chair of the Cape Fear Valley Health board, said in a press release.
