6 recent hospital, health system CEO moves

Becker’s Hospital Review reported the following hospital and health system CEO moves in the last week.

The executives are listed below, alphabetically.

1. Scott Briner, CEO of Sweeny (Texas) Community Hospital, is stepping down from the role to pursue entrepreneurship opportunities.

2. Overland Park, Kan.-based HCA Midwest Health appointed Phil Buttell CEO of Menorah Medical Center in Overland Park.

3. Marrero, La.-based West Jefferson Medical Center appointed Rob Calhoun president and CEO.

4. Mike Sanders, CEO of Monroe (Wis.) Clinic, will retire by the end of the year.

5. Odessa, Texas-based Medical Center Health System selected Russell Tippin to serve as president and CEO, effective Sept. 9.

6. Brian Turney, president and CEO of Kingman (Ariz.) Regional Medical Center, plans to retire in the second half of 2020, ending a 25-year tenure.
