6 recent HCA executive changes

Mark Amox was named COO of HCA Florida North Florida Hospital in Gainesville, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.

In his new role, Mr. Amox will be responsible for strategic planning and operations, according to a March 11 news release shared with Becker’s.

Mr. Amox joins HCA Florida North Florida Hospital from Searcy, Ark.-based Unity Health, where he served as president and CEO. He also previously served as COO of HCA Regional Medical Center in San Jose, Calif., and at Children’s Hospital at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas.

Becker’s also reported other executive appointments at HCA since Feb. 19:

  • Monique Butler, MD, was named president of graduate medical education at HCA Healthcare. 
  • Mike Hoyt was named COO of HCA Healthcare’s Riverside (Calif.) Community Hospital.
  • Jeff Wilson is the new president of Trident Health and CEO of Trident Medical Center, both based in Charleston, S.C., and part of HCA Healthcare.
  • Alice Tang, DO, was named chief medical officer of HCA Healthcare’s Reston (Va.) Hospital Center.
  • Nathan Vooys was named CEO of HCA Healthcare’s Reston (Va.) Hospital Center.
