24 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week.

They are listed below, in alphabetical order.

1. Forbes Hospital in Monroeville, Pa., tapped Krista A. Bragg, MSN, DNP to serve as COO.

2. Timothy A. Churchill, interim president and CEO of Farmington, Maine-based Franklin Community Health Network, will now lead the integrated rural network permanently.

3. Illinois Valley Community Hospital in Peru appointed Robert Fortney, BSN, MSN, chief nursing officer.

4. Panama City, Fla.-based Bay Medical Sacred Heart CEO Steve Grubbs resigned, effective Feb. 19.

5. Covington, La.-based Lakeview Regional Medical Center named Jacques Guillot, MD, chief medical officer.

6. Bad Axe, Mich.-based Huron Medical Center selected Michael Johnston to serve as president and CEO, effective March 5.

7. Cincinnati-based The Christ Hospital Health Network President and CEO Mike Keating is departing later this year.

8. Green Bay, Wis.-based Bellin Health selected Cynthia Lasecki, MD, to serve as CMO.

9. St. Vincent Anderson (Ind.) CMO Jeff Mathison, MD, is leaving the role for a new opportunity.

10, Mountain View, Calif.-based El Camino Hospital named Deborah Muro, BSN, its new CIO.

11. Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic President and CEO John Noseworthy, MD, will retire at the end of 2018, ending a nine-year tenure.

12. Phoenix-based Banner Health selected Patrick Rankin, MD, to serve as CEO of Banner Medical Group.

13. Aurora, Colo.-based UCHealth tapped Dan Rieber to serve as permanent CFO, effective immediately.

14. St. Mark's Hospital in Salt Lake City tapped Mark Robinson to serve as CEO.

15. Peggy A. Sebastian, president and CEO of HSHS St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, Ill., resigned Feb. 19.

16. Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina tapped Matthew Severance to serve as chief of affiliations and network development at Medical University Hospital in Charleston.

17. Monroe County Hospital in Forsyth, Ga., named Lorraine Smith CEO.

18. Southern Tennessee Regional Health System Winchester-Sewanee, with locations in Winchester, Tenn., and Sewanee, Tenn., appointed William R. Spray its permanent CEO.

19. Jennifer Sullivan left her position as CEO of Hornell, N.Y.-based St. James Mercy Hospital, and the hospital board named Leo Brideau as interim president and CEO.

20. Catholic Health in Buffalo N.Y., a health system with with annual revenues of more than $1.1 billion, named Mark Sullivan president and CEO, effective March 1.

21. Carson City, Mich.-based Sparrow Carson Hospital's President and CEO Matthew Thompson left his post Friday, just 10 days after CMS threatened to revoke the hospital's Medicare funding over infection control concerns.

22. Florida Hospital Tampa appointed Theresa Trivette, DNP, RN, chief nursing officer.

23. Sisseton, S.D.-based Coteau des Prairies Health Care System named Greg Weaver interim CEO.

24. Nashville, Tenn.-based Ardent Health Services and Austin-based the University of Texas System are set to acquire Tyler-based East Texas Medical Center Regional Healthcare System and have appointed a new leadership team.
