Catholic Health taps Mark Sullivan as CEO: 6 notes

Catholic Health in Buffalo N.Y., a health system with with annual revenues of more than $1.1 billion, named Mark Sullivan president and CEO, effective March 1.

1. Mr. Sullivan most recently served as executive vice president and COO of the five-hospital system.

2. He has worked at Catholic Health for 24 years, initially working as an intern at Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo.

3. He previous roles at Catholic Health include CEO of the home health division and interim CEO of the continuing care division.

4. Mr. Sullivan is a fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives and a mentor for the American Hospital Association.

5. He holds a master’s degree in public administration/healthcare management from Canisius College in Buffalo.

6. Mr. Sullivan succeeds Joseph D. McDonald, who announced his plans to retire last year.
