23 latest hospital, health system executive moves

The following hospital and health system executive moves were reported by Becker's Hospital Review in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Putnam Hospital Center in Carmel, N.Y., named Eilish C. Hourihan vice president of patient care services and CNO.

2. Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health System named David Tilton executive vice president and chief integration officer.

3. Marshall Smith, a longtime private hospital executive and healthcare consultant, will serve as CEO of direct care and treatment at the Minnesota Department of Human Services.

4. St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital named John McLendon vice president and CIO.

5. Debbie Platz was named enterprise vice president and general counsel for Nemours Children's Health System, including its two freestanding children's hospitals. Nemours owns and operates the Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., and the Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Fla., along with major pediatric specialty clinics in Delaware, Florida, Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

6. NewYork-Presbyterian named Joe Ienuso group senior vice president of facilities and real estate, effective Aug. 1.

7. Rob Cercek, president of Rochester (N.Y.) General Hospital, is leaving his position at the end of July.

8. Knoxville-based University of Tennessee Medical Center named Michael Saad vice president and CIO.

9. Ascension Wisconsin, part of St. Louis-based Ascension Health, named leaders for its northern and southern regions. Travis Andersen will serve as president of the south region. Debra Standridgewill serve as president of the north region.

10. Dan Griess, CEO of Box Butte General Hospital in Alliance, Neb., will leave the organization at the end of July.

11. University Medical Center of El Paso (Texas), named Jacob Cintron president and CEO, effective July 25.

12. Houston-based CHI St. Luke's Health named Steven Foster president of Patients Medical Center, its 61-bed acute care hospital in Pasadena, Texas.

13. West Park Hospital in Cody, Wyo., named Gary Hart, MD, CMO

14. St. Charles Parish Hospital in Luling, La., named Ritchie J. Dupre CEO.

15. Patrick Gavin was appointed CEO of Springfield, Pa.-based Crozer-Keystone Health System.

16. North Arkansas Regional Medical Center in Harrison promoted Deana Thomas from controller to vice president of financial services and CFO.

17. Sebastopol, Calif.-based Sonoma West Medical Center named an interim CEO and interim CFO. Pipeline Health COO Luke Tharasri will serve as interim CEO of SWMC, and Pipeline CFO Robert Heinemeier will serve as SWMC's interim CFO. The change comes as SWMC signed an agreement with Pipeline for Pipeline to manage the hospital's operations.

18. The Detroit Medical Center chose Reginald J. Eadie, MD, as the new DMC regional COO, effective Aug. 1.

19. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America appointed Tim McManus president of its capital division, effective Aug. 1.

20. M. Beatrice Grause, BSN, RN, is the new president of the Healthcare Association of New York State.

21. The American Hospital Association named Jay Bhatt, DO, as the CMO and president of the Health Research and Educational Trust.

22. The Vermont Association of Hospitals and Health Systems named Jeffrey Tieman president and CEO, effective in August.

23. Kris D. Gray, MD, is the new CMO of Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center in Daytona Beach.
