Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital appoints CIO

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital has named John McLendon vice president and CIO.

Mr. McLendon joins All Children’s Hospital from Columbia, Md.-based MedStar Health, where he served as senior vice president and CIO. Before that, he was Altamonte Springs, Fla.-based Adventist Health System’s senior vice president and CIO. Through the years, Mr. McLendon has also held IT leadership positions at St. Petersburg-based Bayfront Health System, Houston-based Memorial Healthcare System, Atlanta-based South Fulton Medical Center and Phoenix-based Banner Health.

In addition, Mr. McLendon is a member of the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, HIMSS and the Cerner Client Care Council.
