1. Putnam, Conn.-based Day Kimball Healthcare President and CEO Bob Smanik resigned.

2. Piedmont Medical Center in Rock Hill, S.C., named Jim Riley COO.

3. Billings (Mont.) Clinic CEO Nicholas Wolter, MD, plans to retire in January 2017.

4. Riverside (Calif.) Community Hospital hired Todd LaCaze as CFO.

5. Loring Hospital in Sac City, Iowa, named Linn Block chief clinical officer.

6. Fergus Fall, Minn.-based Lake Region Healthcare CEO Larry Schulz plans to retire in May 2017, ending a 40-year administrative career in healthcare.

7. Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin named C. Greer Jordan, MBA, PhD, chief diversity and inclusion officer.

8. Springfield, Ohio-based Community Mercy Health Partners selected Matthew Caldwell to serve as president and CEO.

9. Henderson, Nev.-based Hospital Corporation of America Far West Division named Joseph A. DeSchryver CEO of Good Samaritan Hospital in San Jose, Calif., effective Jan. 2, 2017.

10. Elmhurst (Ill.) Hospital selected Pamela Dunley, MBA, RN, to serve as president and CEO, effective Jan. 1, 2017.

11. Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Health System appointed Jeffrey Keller, PhD, as its inaugural chief innovation officer.

12. San Antonio-based Christus Santa Rosa Hospital-Medical Center is adopting the dyad leadership model, and the hospital named Ian Thompson, Jr., MD, president and Asha Rodriguez administrator.

13. Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado, Kan., named Paige Hatcher Dodson, MD, MPH, as its first CMO.

14. Coshocton (Ohio) Regional Medical Center selected Stephanie Conn, RN, BSN, MSN, as administrator and CNO.

15. San Joaquin Community Hospital in Bakersfield, Calif., a part of Roseville, Calif.-based Adventist Health, named Sharlet Briggs its permanent president and CEO.

16. West Orange, N.J.-based RWJBarnabas Health appointed Joanna Zimmerman as regional CFO.

17. Lourdes Hospital in Paducah, Ky., part of Cincinnati-based Mercy Health, appointed Michael Yungmann president and CEO.

18. Conemaugh Health System, based in Johnstown, Pa., named Tim Harclerode, RN, MBA, CEO of Hastings, Pa.-based Conemaugh Miners Medical Center, in addition to his current role as Roaring Spring, Pa.-based Nason Hospital CEO.

19. Nashville, Tenn.-based Hospital Corporation of America promoted its COO Samuel N. Hazen to president and COO, effective immediately.

20. Franklin (La.) Foundation Hospital appointed Jim Platt interim CEO.
