Here are six things to know:
1. Mr. Caldwell will serve as a senior vice president with Cincinnati-based Mercy Health, the hospital network’s parent organization.
2. He was, most recently, CEO of Tennova Healthcare-Lebanon (Tenn.).
3. He has previously served as CEO of Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite, Texas.
4. He holds a master’s degree in healthcare administration from University of Texas at Arlington.
5. Mr. Caldwell succeeds current President and CEO Paul Hiltz, who is retiring.
6. Mr. Caldwell will assume his new post on Dec. 5, 2016. A previous report noted that Mr. Hiltz will stay on into 2017 as a consultant for the organization.
