Community Mercy Health Partners CEO Paul Hiltz to retire by year’s end: 4 things to know

Springfield, Ohio-based Community Mercy Health Partners President and CEO Paul Hiltz is retiring, effective Dec. 31, 2016, according to a Springfield News Sun report.

Here are four things to know:

1. Mr. Hiltz joined the regional healthcare system in 2013. He oversees a staff of 2,600 employees.  

2. CMHP is a part of Cincinnati-based Mercy Health. Mr. Hiltz has been with Mercy Health since 1985.

3. During his tenure as CEO, Mr. Hiltz was instrumental in raising funds for a mobile mammography unit as well as positioning CMHP to partner with Medicare as an ACO.

4. Mr. Hiltz will stay on into 2017 as a consultant for the organization and will continue to oversee day-to-day operations until the system chooses his successor.
