18 latest hospital, health system executive moves

Becker's Hospital Review reported on the following hospital and health system executive moves in the last week. They are listed below, beginning with the most recent.

1. Odessa, Texas-based Medical Center Health System selected Rick Napper to serve as its new president and CEO.

2. Integris Bass Baptist Health Center in Enid, Okla., named Finny Mathew president, effective Jan. 2, 2018.

3. Baptist Health Madisonville (Ky.) appointed Denise Dunn, BSN, RN, its permanent chief nursing officer.

4. Lebanon, N.H.-based Dartmouth-Hitchcock health system tapped Patrick F. Jordan III to serve as COO, effective Nov. 20.

5. Susan Cornejo will step into the COO role at Pensacola, Fla.-based Sacred Heart Health System and Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala., both members of St. Louis-based Ascension.

6. HSHS St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay, Wis., hired Ken Nelson III, DNP, RN, to serve as chief nursing officer.

7. Mercy Medical Center-Des Moines (Iowa) selected Karl Keeler to serve as president, effective in January 2018.

8. Louisville, Ky.-based Norton Healthcare appointed Adam Kempf senior vice president and CFO.

9. Odessa, Texas-based Medical Center Health System Senior Vice President and CFO Jon Riggs is resigning, effective Nov. 17.

10. Rob Casalou has been tapped to serve as president and CEO of the new entity formed by the merger of Livonia, Mich.-based Saint Joseph Mercy Health System and Muskegon, Mich.-based Mercy Health.

11. Houston-based Park Plaza Hospital, part of Houston-based HCA Gulf Coast Division, named Peyton Elliott CEO, effective Dec. 26.

12. Bob Bonar, CEO of Minneapolis-based Children's Minnesota is retiring, effective Dec. 8.

13. Rapid City, S.D.-based Regional Health appointed Thomas Worsley president of Regional Health Spearfish (S.D.) Hospital as well as the Spearfish and Belle Fourche Market.

14. St. Mary's Regional Medical Center in Enid, Okla., appointed Anthony Rodebush COO, effective Nov. 13.

15. West Burlington, Iowa-based Great River Health Systems tapped Matthew Wenzel to serve as president and CEO, effective Jan. 2, 2018.

16. Jennie M. Melham Memorial Medical Center in Broken Bow, Neb., selected Veronica Schmidt to serve as CEO, effective Jan. 15, 2018.

17. Louisville-based KentuckyOne Health appointed Terrence G. Deis president of both Saint Joseph Berea (Ky.) and Saint Joseph Mount Sterling (Ky.).

18. St. Bernard Parish Hospital in Chalmette, La., named Kimberly Keene, RN, CEO.
