Susan Cornejo will step into the COO role at Pensacola, Fla.-based Sacred Heart Health System and Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala., both members of St. Louis-based Ascension, according to a Pensacola News Journal report.
Here are four notes:
1. Ms. Cornejo most recently served as CFO for Sacred Heart and Providence Hospital.
2. She previously served as vice president and corporate controller at St. Vincent's Health System in Birmingham, Ala.
3. She also has prior experience working for Birmingham-based HealthSouth and Parkview Health System in Fort Wayne, Ind.
4. She holds an MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion.
