The combined entity will include 10 hospitals, a total of 2,357 licensed beds, nine outpatient health centers, 12 urgent care facilities and more than 35 specialty centers.
Mr. Casalou will assume his new role Jan. 1, 2018. He is currently regional president and CEO of the five-hospital Saint Joseph Mercy Health System, a role he has held since 2015. Mr. Casalou has worked at Trinity Health since 2008, serving as president and CEO of St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor Hospital in Ypsilanti, Mich., as well as St. Joseph Mercy Livingston Hospital in Howell, Mich.
Roger Spoelman, president and CEO of the five-hospital campus Mercy Health, will transition into the senior vice president of strategic and operational integration role at Trinity Health. He joined Trinity Health in 1981.
